Patrick D. Molinari Juvenile Shelter

The Judge Patrick D. Molinari Juvenile Shelter is a non-secure 15 beds facility that serves both male and female juveniles between the ages of 10-17. The program is designed as an alternative to secure detention or a temporary emergency placement for some youth who may need immediate shelter. The program provides short term residential care which focuses on stabilizing the juvenile's behavior and provides specifically approved services to address individual needs with the goal of reunification with the family. All services are provided through a referral from the local Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, the local Court Services Unit, or The Department of Social Services. While in the program the juveniles will be presented with evidence informed curriculums that address the following areas:

  • Anger Management
  • Social Skills
  • Risky Behavior
  • Communication Skills
  • Coping Skills
  • Life Skills
  • Character and Self-Esteem Building

All juveniles are expected to participate in a non-traditional educational program that is provided by the Prince William County Schools System.
The goal is to provide a safe and stable environment while working towards family reunification or other appropriate placements.
