For the 45 days prior to all elections, voters eligible to vote early may do so by visiting one of our Early Voting locations. Before you come in, we advise you to check your registration status online or call us if you have any questions about your registration or your eligibility. At the Registrar’s Office or other Early Voting Location, you must show an acceptable form of ID.
Virginia law requires all voters to provide an acceptable form of identification at the polls. The ID no longer must have a photograph. Voters arriving to the polls without a suitable ID will be required to either sign an ID Confirmation Statement or vote a provisional ballot.
