    The Prince William County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with elected leaders, staff and citizens, provides a safe and secure Judicial Complex. Other mandates include service of all civil process, including subpoenas, levies, seizures, and evictions; internal affairs; training; and timely transport for prisoners and person in crisis. The Office serves the citizens of Prince William County, the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, and the Towns of Dumfries, Occoquan, Quantico and Haymarket.

    Eviction Procedures

    ​Eviction is the process by which a landlord obtains possession of the rental property by entering a lawsuit against the tenant(s) and receiving judgment from the court directing the tenant(s) to leave the property and pay back any rent, damage claims and costs of the court process.     Project Lifesaver

    Project Lifesaver's uses state of the art technology to assist those who care for victims of Alzheimer's and other developmental disabilities and victims who become lost. These victims include the elderly and even the youngest in our community who are afflicted with disabilities such as Down Syndrome and Autism.

    Physical Defense Classes for Women

    The Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Basic Physical Defense Program for Women is a 12-hour course offered exclusively to women and young women. Participants learn practical self-defense tactics, and awareness and avoidance strategies to reduce the risk of attack.

Scholarships

Each year, Sheriff Glendell Hill announces when online applications are being accepted, for the Virginia Sheriffs' Institute (VSI) Scholarship program. This scholarship was established to provide an opportunity for young people across Virginia to pursue an educational curriculum in criminal justice.
