Personal Property Tax and Real Estate Taxes Due December 5, 2024

Prince William County's personal property and second-half real estate taxes for 2024 are due on December 5, 2024. If you have not received your tax bill, please contact the Taxpayer Services Office at (703) 792-6710 or via email at [email protected]. Residents are encouraged to pay their taxes before the due date. Payments can be made online via the county's taxpayer portal, in person at one of the Taxpayer Services Offices, by mail, or over the phone. Office hours from December 3 to 5 will be extended until 6:00 p.m. for the Personal Property and Real Estate Tax payments due December 5, 2024. ___________________________________________________________________________ Los impuestos sobre propiedad personal y bienes raíces de la segunda mitad del condado de Prince William para 2024 vencen el 5 de diciembre de 2024. Delayed Opening - Third Wednesday of each Month for Staff Training

On the third Wednesday of each month (11/20, and 12/18), Taxpayer Services offices will open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. to allow staff training.

    Prince William County real estate taxes are due in two halves. The first half is due July 15th, and the second half is due December 5th. Businesses are also assessed a business tangible property tax on items such as furniture and fixtures, computers, and construction equipment. Personal Property taxes are due annually on October 5th.

    New! Vehicle Compliance Program

    The Department of Finance and Tax Administration wants to inform PWC residents of the Vehicle Compliance program website. The Vehicle Compliance reporting site allows residents to report vehicles that may not be in compliance with State and County laws. The site is available 24/7 and allows a reporter to add a tax record and check the status of a report.

    Business Clean Energy Program

    In 2023, Prince William County adopted an ordinance to create a Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing program in coordination with the Department of Energy’s statewide C-PACE Program.
