Prince William County’s Finance Department has transitioned to a new merchant servicer. A service fee of 2.3% will be applied to all in-person debit and credit card transactions conducted at the Development Services Building and the Sudley Tax Administration locations.
The payment processor charges this service fee to offset the costs associated with accepting card payments. Residents may continue to use alternative payment methods, such as cash or check, to avoid the fee.
