The Department of Parks and Recreation invites you to a public information meeting to share updates to the planned horticultural therapy facility to be located at Shenandoah Park. This is a great opportunity for residents to learn more about the project’s design, construction timeline, and programming, as well as ask questions about potential impacts. We look forward to seeing you!

A FREE family movie night in the park is a perfect chance to relax and enjoy a safe and special night under the stars. Come early and get a good seat! Please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets for seating.

2025 Arts Alive! Schedule Just Announced! Don't miss it! Arts Alive! is the annual, free community arts festival produced jointly by the Prince William County Arts Council, the County Department of Parks & Recreation and the Hylton Performing Arts Center.

Join us for a day of music and local history. Enjoy bluegrass music, displays, explore the historic site, and enjoy hands-on activities for the kids. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site.

Prince William County’s Regional Parks and Community Centers are true hubs of community, offering diverse amenities like sports fields, trails, pavilions, pools, marinas, and many others along with recreation programming.

Prince William County Parks & Recreation operates two aquatics & fitness centers offering a wide variety of programs and equipment to help you on your journey to health and wellness. We invite you to visit the centers online or in-person for a complete view and feel of the extensive program line-up offered from preschool and summer camps to personal training and group fitness classes.

Waterparks make any summer day a huge SPLASH! Outdoor Community Pools are always a cool way to spend a hot summer day. Indoor Aquatic Facilities offering swim lessons, lap swim and aquatic fitness classes. There are certification opportunities, training for swim teams and triathlon trainees.

Serves as caretakers of County-owned historic structures, interiors, archaeological resources, natural resources, historic landscapes, artifacts, and collections. We also help build community identity through telling the story of our County through programs and events. The Division’s goal is to show the connections between our history, our present, our future and our growth as a community.
