Prince William County Parks & Recreation operates two aquatics & fitness centers offering a wide variety of programs and equipment to help you on your journey to health and wellness. We invite you to visit the centers online or in-person for a complete view and feel of the extensive program line-up offered from preschool and summer camps to personal training and group fitness classes.
Waterparks make any summer day a huge SPLASH! Outdoor Community Pools are always a cool way to spend a hot summer day. Indoor Aquatic Facilities offering swim lessons, lap swim and aquatic fitness classes. There are certification opportunities, training for swim teams and triathlon trainees.
Serves as caretakers of County-owned historic structures, interiors, archaeological resources, natural resources, historic landscapes, artifacts, and collections. We also help build community identity through telling the story of our County through programs and events. CAPRA ACCREDITED
In October, 2020 Prince William County Parks & Recreation was awarded national accreditation
by the Commission for the Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies.
Prince William County is now the 13th accredited agency in the Commonwealth.
The Prince William County Department of Parks & Recreation operates a 4,400+ acre park system comprised of 81 properties and 60+ trail miles. Our staff operates a diverse portfolio of recreational facilities, services, and programs, hosting over 2 million visits annually and providing unique leisure experiences for residents of all ages, abilities, and recreational interests.
