Shift Schedules
The DPSC is open for operation 24/7 including holidays, evenings, and weekends. All DPSC call takers work a 12-hour shift. There are three shift schedules.
- Permanent Day Shift – works four (4) consecutive 12-hour days followed by four consecutive (4) days off.
- Permanent Night Shift – works four (4) consecutive 12-hour nights followed by four consecutive (4) days off.
- Split Shift – works two (2) 12-hour days, a 24 hour break, two (2) 12-hour nights followed by four (4) consecutive days off.
