DIRECTOR'S BIO

Director Michele Surdam started her career in Public Safety Communications as an E-911 telecommunicator. Through her 32+ years in the department, she has worked through the various positions within a Communications Center, to include dispatcher, supervisor, and CAD Systems Administrator. Her most recent assignment was the Assistant Director of Systems, where she had oversite of all technology related systems utilized by the Communications staff. She has been involved in many Public Safety initiatives in the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government (MWCOG) region.
