The Tax Administration is responsible for uniformly assessing and billing Personal Property tax, Business License tax, Business Tangible tax, Machinery and Tools, Transient Occupancy tax, Food and Beverage tax, Utility Tax, Public Service, and Bank Franchise; and the collection of all local taxes including real estate, and other related fees for Prince William County. We aim to provide outstanding customer service to the residents of Prince William County through our Taxpayer Services Division, which encompasses our Service Counters, Call Center, email support, website, and tax portal.

Business Tangible Returns Due

Prince William County Business Tangible Filing Forms are due April 15, 2026. To avoid a 10% late‑filing penalty, the completed form must be postmarked or submitted by April 15, 2026. If you have not received a Business Tangible Filing Form and believe you should have, please contact the Taxpayer Services Office at (703) 792‑6710 or [email protected].
Taxpayer Services in‑person office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All other Tax Administration offices operate Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
You may manage, file, and pay taxes online at tax.pwcgov.org. Payments can be made online by credit card or by phone at 1‑888‑272‑9829 using jurisdiction code 1036 (a convenience fee applies).
Payments may also be mailed to P.O. Box 2467, Woodbridge, VA 22195‑- 2467, or made in person at the Taxpayer Services offices, Sudley North or the Development Services Building, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
