Doves Landing Master Plan Project

We Want Your Feedback

DPR Staff are seeking feedback on the current design of Doves Landing Park.
Provide Feedback

With the approval of the Doves Landing Master Plan Report in October of 2022, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has moved into the design phase of the development of the Sinclair Mill Site and the greater Doves Landing Park.

DPR is currently working with a consultant team to create 35% design plan based on the approved Master Plan and is seeking public input throughout the process. There are 2 planned public meetings and feedback is always welcome through this webpage.

This page will be updated as the project moves forward with more information on planning, design, and public feedback opportunities.

10% Design Plans

The 10% design plan was presented at the Project Update Meeting on January 8th. This is the same plan that was presented and does not include any revisions based on community feedback. Any revisions will be included in the 35% design plans which will be presented at our next community meeting and also here on the project webpage.

2022 Master Plan Report

In October 2022 the BOCS adopted a new master plan for Doves Landing, replacing the previous master plan from 2013. This new Master Plan was created to account for the 73 acre expansion of the park acquired by the County in 2020 as well as the Sinclair Mill site which is proffered to be dedicated to the County as part of The Preserve at Long Branch development. The 2022 plan draws heavily on the research and analysis done in 2013, and also takes into consideration park planning goals identified in the recent updates to the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Chapter of the County’s Comprehensive Plan, and DPRT’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan, both of which were adopted in 2020.
