Prince William County Parks and Recreation invites you and your family to attend our annual Miracle League! The Miracle League program works to eliminate the main barriers for youth and adults with mental and physical disabilities that arise from playing on natural grass fields used in conventional leagues. The Miracle League program will play this year on a custom designed, rubberized surface field at Dr. Richard Tami Miracle Field located at George Hellwig Memorial Park.
Come make new friends and learn to build self-esteem while being treated just like other athletes. Participants between the ages of 5-99 are welcome, regardless of their ability to play baseball. Participants will be given the opportunity to hit a ball off a batting tee. They may also be pitched to depending on their ability. Participants will also throw or catch a ball and score a run.

“This is something new for him. He has never played t-ball before. To see him get excited about hitting the ball, learning how to put a glove on, clapping for the other kids, coming out of his shell and high-fiving people has been a real joy. It has meant the world for me to see him be able to be around kids like him. And to see how all of them light up just being able to get a chance to play and have fun." - Tynia
