Choosing the right venue for your special events is a very important decision. With a variety of available spaces, ample parking, and a convenient location, Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center is the perfect place for any occasion. Our rental spaces include an indoor aquatics center, many multipurpose rooms, a full-size basketball gymnasium, an outdoor pavilion with picnic tables and a shaded outdoor sundeck with picnic tables, lounge chairs and a grill.

Aquatics Center
The Aquatics Center features two pools, two 12-person hot tubs, two dry saunas, a diving board and an outdoor sun deck. Our main 40-meter heated pool has eight 25-yard lanes available for lap swim and a shallow water area for family/recreation swim and classes. Our therapeutic leisure/children's wading is the perfect safe place for young children with its gradual entry, a maximum depth of 3'8", a slide and a mushroom water feature. In addition to all of this, we provide a top-notch professional and certified on-site Lifeguarding staff.

We have provided rental space for weddings, birthday parties, sweet sixteen, quinceañera, baby showers, family reunions, private pool parties, and much more!

***In lieu of a custodial fee, we request you throw trash into the dumpsters by the facility. We supply the trash bags. Other notes: We are a dry facility (alcohol is not permitted). Q. What is the rental process? How do I book a reservation?
A. The Pavilion can be booked directly through our website here. Outdoor spaces require full payment at the time of booking.
For indoor spaces, please contact the Chinn Center for date availability, either by filling out the rental request form or calling (703) 792-8630. To provide a tailored event for you, working with a staff member directly is required. A refundable security deposit ($100.00) and 50% of rental cost is due at time of booking. The remaining 50% is due at least 14 days prior to event date.
Q. How much is the rental?
A. To provide the best fit for your event, spaces are priced per hour. Updated prices can be found on this webpage.
− Large events using the gym or multiple rooms may require $100 custodial fee.
Q. Is there a deposit?
A. Yes, a refundable security deposit ($100.00) and 50% of rental cost is expected the day of booking, and the remaining balance is due at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
Outdoor spaces require full payment at the time of booking.
Q: What if I need to cancel?
A: We will work with you to find another date. If cancelled within 14 days, all fees, including any security deposit, is subject to forfeiture. For indoor spaces, if cancelled at or prior to 14 days, security fee is subject to forfeiture. For outdoor spaces, if cancelled at or prior to 14 days, a $50 surcharge will be subtracted from the rental cost. Request for additional refunds may be subject to 3rd party (i.e., doctor's note) verification.
Q. Is there time to setup?
A. The start time begins when walking in and the end time is after cleaning up and walking out.
The renter is responsible for taking down decorations, throwing away any trash, and setting up and putting away tables and chairs.
Q. Are tables and chairs included? What type of tables do you have? How many tables to you have?
A. Yes, we have enough to sit and table about 120 people. The tables are 6' in length and sit 4 to 6 to a table. The renter is responsible for setting them up and returning them at the end of the rental.
Q. Can I bring food?
A. Yes, all food EXCEPT alcohol is permitted.
Q. Is there a kitchen available?
A. Yes, if renting either the Studio or Multipurpose Room. The kitchen is between the two rooms, and may be shared if another rental is using the other space. It includes plenty of counter space, commercial size icemaker, two sinks, and a refrigerator.
Q. Is the playground available?
A. Yes, the playground is open to the public. The Studio exit doors are able to open, the Multipurpose Room doors are not. They can go through the front doors to access the playground.
Q. What if I want to include swimming?
A. Swimming is from 1:00p-2:00p, and includes 12 swimmers for $60. Additional swimmers will be at the daily rate and paid the day of.
Q. Can I bring a moon bounce?
A. Yes, it can be set up either between the facility and library, at the Pavilion; or in the gym. If set up between the facility and library, only a generator may be used.
Chinn will need a copy of the vendor’s insurance at least 14 days in advance.
Q. Can I have a DJ or bring music?
A. Yes, music and DJs are permitted. A speaker is required as the facility does not have one to use. If hiring a professional DJ, Chinn requires a copy of the DJ’s insurance at least 2 weeks in advance.
Q. Can guests workout or swim during or after the event?
A. All guests must stay in the space rented, except for using the bathroom or water fountain. It is the renter’s responsibility to maintain these boundaries. Excessive wondering may result in the event shutting down early and no refund provided.
