While February may be the shortest month of the year, there’s no shortage of programs and services offered at Prince William Public Libraries.
There’s still time to join the Winter Reading program! Through February 28, sign up for Winter Reading at the library or the Beanstack Tracker app. To win a prize, complete 10 challenges – like attending a library program, reading for 20 minutes, or finding the Yeti at the library. After completing the challenges, you can pick up a Winter Reading mug – yummy hot cocoa included while supplies last.
February is also a great time to invite PWPL’s new Community Outreach Services division to come to you. They can offer story times for children, off-site programs for teens and adults, digital literacy classes and workshops, and more. If your organization wants to sign up for a visit, please fill out a request form online.
If your challenge this month is tackling the taxes, PWPL is coordinating with the AARP Foundation Tax Aide as they provide free tax assistance to anyone with a focus on taxpayers 50 years and older with low to moderate incomes. Available at Bull Run and Chinn Park Libraries, get started by reviewing the documents you need to bring to your appointment and schedule your appointment online.
Also, don’t miss Valentine’s Day programs at Prince William Public Libraries. Blind Date with a Book, Crafts to Go: Teen Anti-Valentines Art Attack!, Romance Scams, Valentine Family Story Time, Be My Valentine, and Date Night at the Library are sure to fill your heart with love this month. Check the Online Events Calendar to see upcoming programs at your local library.
