In addition to the natural surface and gravel trails on the park property, the park also serves as the best access to the Occoquan Greenway. Currently, users can hike 3 miles from the park to Antietam ES. Residents can also access the Lake Ridge HOA trails.

The park's network of paved and natural surface trails is anchored by the Neabsco Creek Boardwalk. On the north side of the creek, there are paved connections to Rt. 1 and the Rippon VRE as part of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. On the south side, Metz Wetlands has natural surface trails winding through the preserve, and a connection to Leesylvania State Park. |
