The Prince William County Office of Procurement Services will host a virtual workshop on Wednesday, March 5, from 3-4 p.m., to help businesses and individuals better understand the county’s vendor registration and procurement process.
The session will provide essential information on doing business with the county, the steps for vendor registration, the multi-factor authentication process, and tips for submitting a competitive bid or proposal. Additionally, attendees will receive an overview of Prince William County’s procurement policies and bidding requirements, and a step-by-step walkthrough of the vendor registration process.
Prince William County relies on a diverse network of vendors to provide essential goods and services to support county operations. Goods and services generally procured include janitorial services, construction equipment, groundskeeping, landscaping, clothing and uniforms, road construction, computer software and hardware, furniture, architecture and engineering services, banking services and much more.
“We procure a variety of goods and services to support county agencies in achieving their missions,” said Prince William County Chief Procurement Officer Shana Terry. “We partner with our vendors to provide quality goods and services to support our county operations, as well as to provide services to our community. It’s very important that we have a pool of highly qualified vendors to provide excellent services.”
The Office of Procurement Services is committed to expanding vendor participation and ensuring businesses have access to procurement opportunities with Prince William County.
“We want to make sure that we give as many vendors as possible the opportunity to learn about how they can become a registered vendor, how they can be competitive for county contracts and to help us provide timely goods and services to support our community,” Terry said.
