Hypothermia Shelter Services

As the winter season approaches, it is important to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals who may be at risk of hypothermia. Hypothermia Shelter Services will be provided in the Prince William Area from November 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. These services aim to prevent the loss of life or limb due to extreme cold weather conditions.

Shelter Service Providers:
This year, the Hypothermia Shelter Services in Prince William Area will be provided by two organizations: StreetLight Ministries and Manassas Baptist Church. 

1. StreetLight Ministries (Eastern Prince William County):
- Open every evening during hypothermia season

- Operating Hours: Monday – Sunday, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

2. Manassas Baptist Church (Western Prince William County):
- Open when the temperature is 32 degrees or below (taking into consideration the wind chill factor)

- Operating Hours: Monday – Sunday, 7:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. (except Wednesdays: 8:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)

Availability and Capacity:
Both StreetLight Ministries and Manassas Baptist Church can serve up to 22 persons on a first come, first served basis. It is advisable to contact the respective shelters directly for availability before seeking assistance.
