Jail Board

The Prince William – Manassas Regional Jail Board was formed in 1978. It is the operating authority for the Regional Adult Detention Center. The Board is composed of 11 members from the two participating jurisdictions. The Sheriff sits on the Board by statutory authority; eight additional members are appointed by the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, and two by the Manassas City Council.

The Regional Jail Board meets at 6 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Adult Detention Center Central building, 9320 Lee Avenue, Manassas, Virginia on the third Wednesday of the following months: January, March, May, July, September and November.

Public comments for the upcoming Jail Board meeting can be received in writing by email at [email protected] until 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2024. Comments received within this timeframe will be presented to the Jail Board. Please limit your comments to no more than 1,000 words and include your name and locality of residence.
