Virginia Cooperative Extension Upcoming Programs and Training
Virginia Cooperative Extension helps people put scientific knowledge to work through learning experiences that improve economic, environmental and social well-being. In the coming weeks, their 4-H’ers will be at the Manassas Farmer’s Market showing off their entrepreneurial skills and at the Prince William County Fair for 4-H Family Fun Night. In addition, adults can learn more about becoming a Master Gardener Volunteer at an upcoming information session.
Support Prince William 4-H Young Entrepreneurs at Their Second Market Day
Thirteen young business professionals worked through a series of workshops to create a business, budget, marketing and product. They are testing their entrepreneurial skills each month at the Manassas Farmer's Market. Our Prince William 4-H’ers have taken their talents to a new level by interviewing other businesses and learning how to turn their talents, hobbies and interests into sales. We’re so proud of their success at their first Market Day and can’t wait to see how they’ve grown. A special thank you to the Manassas Farmer’s Market for their support with booth space. Please visit us at the Manassas Farmer’s Market on Saturday, August 6 from 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Join Us for 4-H Family Fun Night at the Prince William County Fair
Prince William 4-H is hosting our first 4-H Family Fun Night on Wednesday, August 17 at 5 p.m. at the Fair Show Barn. Prince William 4-H youth leaders, volunteers and staff are hosting family friendly games and activities to share the fun of 4-H. Prince William 4-H also hosts youth activities in the 4-H Children’s Barn and 4-H Agriculture Barn throughout the Fair week, as well as an exciting morning camp for our youngest 4-H’ers. This year’s theme is “Branch out with 4-H.” We hope to see you at the Fair!
