The Departments of Public Works and Facilities & Fleet Management are delighted to announce National Public Works Week, May 19-25. This year's theme: "Advancing Quality of Life for All," illustrates how public works professionals contribute to and enhance the quality of life in all the communities they serve.
As National Public Works Week grows in significance each year, Prince William County is proud and deeply honored to be one of the 179 APWA-Accredited agencies across North America. This commitment is a testament to the shared values and strength of the community,
The community celebrates the dedicated employees who play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of life in the County.
Public Works and Facilities & Fleet Management employees are vital to servicing public buildings and spaces, safeguarding water quality and stormwater systems, managing single-stream waste and litter, ensuring safe and well-maintained neighborhoods, monitoring and mitigating the impact of invasive species on the environment, and much more. They directly contribute to the comfort and safety everyone in the County enjoys.
This week, the County takes a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the hardworking men and women who are instrumental in sustaining a County we can all be proud of. Prince William County welcomes all community members to celebrate the dedicated service of its public works employees.
In turn, the Departments would like to thank all the community members. Without their active participation and support, the integral work conducted by the County's Public Works and Facilities & Fleet Management employees would not be possible.
Together the Prince William County Government and its community help create a sustainable quality of life for everyone to live, work and enjoy.
