Prince William County Department of Development Services is making significant progress in its digital transformation strategy to enhance customer services. Effective Monday, October 14, customers will start to receive an automated email the morning of their scheduled inspection noting the inspection two-hour window timeframe.

This latest enhancement in customer service delivery provides residents, developers and contractors a more direct and convenient way to access scheduled inspection times, in addition to being able to check for inspection times online in ePortal.

“We are very pleased to deliver on this latest milestone achievement in our ongoing efforts to provide human-centered and customer-centric services within the permitting process,” shared Mandi Spina, Director, Department of Development Services.

To schedule an inspection, customers can go online in ePortal or call the Automated Phone System.

  • ePortal: Visit www.pwcva.gov/ePortal and reference your permit number.
  • Automated Phone System: Dial 1-866-457-5280 and enter the required 6-digit IVR pin number assigned to your permit.

Both systems are available seven days a week and are continuously updated so that customers have immediate access to inspection results shortly after the inspection.
