Racial and Social Justice Task Force (RSJTF)

The Temporary Task Force

On March 12, 2026, the Human Rights Commission adopted Resolution 26-01, establishing a Temporary Racial and Social Justice Task Force. This action follows the Board of County Supervisors' adoption of Resolution 26-100 on February 17, 2026, which dissolved the Racial and Social Justice Commission and directed the creation of a temporary task force to continue its work, including follow-up on pending recommendations from the Commission's report submitted on December 22, 2021.

Scope of Work: The Task Force will review prior reports, data, and implementation updates, and coordinate with County departments and agencies to assess progress.

The Human Rights Commission consists of nine at-large members appointed by the Board of County Supervisors (BOCS). Commissioners advise the BOCS on issues pertaining to human and civil rights enforcement and concerns that arise in the community.
