Prince William County real estate taxes for the first half of 2022 are due on July 15, 2022. If you have not received a tax bill for your property and believe you should have, contact the Taxpayer Services Office at 703-792-6710 or by email at [email protected].
The Taxpayer Services in-person and telephone office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. In-person and telephone hours on Wednesday are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A late penalty of 10% will be assessed on the unpaid tax balance if taxes are not paid in full by the due date. Interest at a rate of 10% per annum accrues monthly until the balance is paid in full.
Payments can be made by electronic check or credit card online at tax.pwcgov.org or by phone at 1-888-272-9829, jurisdiction code for Prince William County is 1036; by mail to PO Box 70519, Philadelphia, PA, 19176-0519, and in person at the Sudley North Drive, A.J. Ferlazzo Building and McCoart Taxpayer Services Offices Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
If you receive a tax bill and escrow property taxes with your mortgage company, you should contact your mortgage company immediately. Your mortgage company will tell you the correct procedure for having the mortgage company pay the County directly on your behalf.
