Park Profile: Veterans Park

With its outdoor pool, tennis courts and the largest skate park in Prince William County, plus so much more, Veterans Memorial Park is the perfect place to spend the day.

Adjacent to the beautiful Marumsco Creek, Featherstone National Wildlife Refuge and Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Veterans Memorial Park also has picnic tables, grills, pavilion rentals, a playground, pickleball courts, volleyball courts, a basketball court, horseshoe pits and a community center. The park is also home to several sports leagues throughout the year including swimming, soccer, football, baseball, softball, Little League, basketball and volleyball.

Know Before You Go

• Outdoor pool: The 50-meter outdoor pool at Veterans Memorial Park features two two-story slides, graduated entry with water features for the little ones and adjacent bathhouse with concessions close by. There are a few slides, some buckets and other splash features that will keep you and your family entertained all afternoon. For pool hours, pricing and more information visit our pools page .
• Skate park: The Scott D. Eagles Skate Park features a vertical ramp half-pipe, a 6,300 sq. ft. concrete course and a 60-ft long kidney bowl for a challenging ride. The skate park is designed for skateboarding and in-line skating. Please follow the rules when using the skate park. Protective equipment including helmets, knee pads and elbow pads must be used at all times. Children 12 years of age or younger must be supervised by an adult. The skate park opens at 7 a.m. and closes at dusk, same as the main park. Please call 703-792-8794 with concerns or questions related to the skate park.
• Tennis and pickleball courts: There are two tennis courts and six pickleball courts—four dedicated pickleball courts and two lined over a tennis court with portable nets. The courts are first come, first served, but you may also rent a court in advance by contacting the front desk at Veterans Park, 703-792-8794.

• Community Center: Veterans Park offers multiple smaller enrichment programs and special events for all ages throughout the year. The community center hosts open gym days for basketball, dance classes, sports classes, pickle ball, playschool, summer and mini-camps and more. The community center also hosts a licensed preschool program and has meeting rooms available for rent.
