Enjoy the Last Weekend of Pool Season
Enjoy the last official weekend of pool season with Prince William County Parks! Birchdale Pool and Veterans Park Pool, along with both of our waterparks are open this weekend 12 – 6 pm, (Saturday and Sunday) and also on Monday, Labor Day, from 12 – 6 pm. Catch an Outdoor Concert
There are just two Fridays at 5 concerts left! Mark your calendars to join us next Friday, September 6 and on Friday, September 20 at Sean T. Connaughton Plaza, 5-9 pm. On September 6, you can be the star of show as it’s karaoke night! Choose from a variety of songs and sing along to the music performed live by Perfekt Blend. On Friday, September 20, enjoy the sounds of the incredible Quantico Marine Corps Band. Established in 1918, the Quantico Marine Corps Band is one of the oldest professional musical ensembles in the Marine Corps. The band is comprised of a ceremonial band and concert band equipped to provide musical support as directed by the Commandant of the Marine Corps and the Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Installations National Capital Region-MCB Quantico.
Fridays at 5 is a free event and all ages are welcome. We’ll have food trucks, beer and wine available for purchase and face painting for the kids.
Play Some Pickleball
Pickleball continues to be the fastest growing sport in the US. Want to learn how to play or up your game? We offer pickleball training at all levels. Come join us to see what all the dinks are about! In the level 1 class you will learn all the basic strokes including dinks, volleys, forehands, backhands, and the serve. Level 2 and 3 classes offer a chance to building on your skills and learn how to play the game more strategically. Pickleball paddles and balls are provided. Tennis shoes are required. Class sessions begin Wednesday, September 11. Register today.

Practice Yoga at the Boardwalk
Join us at Neabsco Creek Boardwalk for our Harvest Full Moon Yoga and Sound Bath Session. The 9th full moon of 2024, also known as the Harvest Moon, will occur on Tuesday, September 17. It is the 4th full moon of this summer as it occurs before the fall solstice. Join us for yoga designed to match the energy of the full moon. Get ready for a fun, creative flow to build heat and strength as well as open your body and celebrate all the stimulating full moon energy. Together with sound bath waves, attain muscle relaxation, reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and water. Learn Archery
If you’ve ever wanted to learn archery, now is your chance. We’ve got several class options for both youth and adults, and even families to learn the sport together. This introductory class will focus on the basics of archery. It is designed for individuals who have little or no archery experience and would like to learn archery. Go for a Walk
Want to learn how to establish a regular walking program for health and fitness? Join us on Wednesday, September 18, from 9-10:30 am. at Harbor Drive Wellness Park o September to learn about appropriate walking goals, walking mechanics, safety, and injury prevention. Led by a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Strides is appropriate for all fitness levels and will help you achieve your active lifestyle goals. Register here.
Plan a Date Night
Need a night out without the kids? Drop them off at Veterans Park on Friday, September 20, from 6-9 pm for an evening of fun games, art and more. Juice, water and a snack will be provided to the kids. Program is for kids ages 5-12. Register your child today!
Watch a Movie Outdoors
A family movie night in the park is the perfect way to enjoy a Friday night out under the stars. Come join us at Ben Lomond Park on Friday, September 20 for a free, family-friendly movie night. The movie will begin at sunset. Come early to get a good seat! Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets for seating. No registration or ticket needed. All ages are welcome. A parent or guardian must attend with children under the age of 16.

Want to live longer? Learn about Blue Zones living and uncover the secrets of food and lifestyle for a long and happy life. Blue Zones are geographic areas with lower rates of chronic diseases and a longer life expectancy. Diet, fasting, and exercise are factors associated with Blue Zones.
