Spinning Educational Workshop
Join us on Sunday, October 27 from 1:00-1:55 pm for a Spinning Educational Workshop—Spin Hills. In this spin class we add resistance on the bike to simulate climbing hills—great training to develop cardiovascular strength and muscular power. Presented by our Nationally Certified Mad Dog Spinning® instructor. Workshop takes place at Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center.
Walking: Walk with a Doc - Social Connections - FREE
We believe that walking is medicine! At any age and any ability level, the simple act of walking has the power to change lives. This free Walk with a Doc event is led by a volunteer healthcare provider who will discuss the importance of social connections and highlight the proven benefits. The group will meet at the front desk of Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center. No rain date. Register to join us on Thursday, November 7, from 12-1 pm.
Nutrition and Yoga for Brain Health
Yoga strengthens parts of the brain that play a key role in memory, attention, awareness, thought and language. Yoga not only keeps your body healthy but also increases your brain power. Join us for this 90-minute nutritional lecture and yoga practice on Saturday, November 9, 11 am – 12:30 pm at Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center. Vinyasa Yoga with Live Acoustic Guitar
Set your intention for gratitude and thankfulness with this special Vinyasa Yoga session intended to aid your attention and awareness on the good things you have received from life. Enjoy live acoustic guitar during your Shavasana. Free for passholders of both Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center and or Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center. $12 drop-in fee for non-members. Tai Chi
Promote strength, balance, flexibility and stress management for a healthier you for a lifetime. Explore the many benefits of Tai Chi in a non-competitive and supportive atmosphere that is challenging and enjoyable. Beginners and all levels are welcome!
