Since 1985, July has been celebrated as the nation’s official Park and Recreation Month. Created by the National Recreation and Park Association, Park and Recreation Month highlights the essential and powerful role local park and recreation programs play in building stronger, more vibrant and more resilient communities all across the country.
This July, we will celebrate the vital role parks and recreation programs and services play in bringing people together, providing essential services and fostering the growth of our communities. In celebration of Park and Recreation Month, Prince William County is offering a special PWC Parks Explorer Park and Recreation Month Pass.
Visitors and community members are invited to visit the following parks, events and locations and then "check-in" using the Pass on their phone/mobile device. Once you’ve checked in to at least four locations, you will automatically be entered into our grand prize raffle for a chance to win a prize.
