PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA. - First Tee Prince William County held their annual Benefit Golf Tournament on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Forest Greens Golf Club, in Triangle, VA. Registration packages ranged from $79 for adults to $45 for junior players, including green and cart fees, practice range balls, along with a box lunch catered by Forest Greens.
Twenty foursomes teed off at 1:00pm under slightly over-cast skies and near perfect golf conditions. Tournament players were given the opportunity to participate in charity raffles for prizes, including rounds of golf at local courses, numerous gift cards to local restaurants and ice-creameries, sporting goods businesses, and a local winery.
The First Tee Prince William County raised $6,427 from player registration fees and business sponsorships. Wegman’s came in as Top Sponsor with a direct donation of $3,000 to the program, bringing the total fundraising to $9,427 for the day’s event. All proceeds go to the First Tee Prince William County program.
Indigo Golf Partners, who manage the three public golf course in Prince William, recently completed renovations and realignment of all the bunkers at Forest Greens Golf Course. According to Alan Smith, Executive Director of First Tee Prince William County, “The course has never looked better! We had a great day!”

The First Tee Prince William County program uses golf to teach youth life lessons and leadership skills.
