“I always tell my clients that my goal for them is to eventually not need me,” says Emily Harkness, a personal trainer for Prince William County Parks. “Eventually I want them to be like a bird flying the nest where they can walk into the gym on any given day and know what muscle groups they want to hit. I encourage my clients to ask me all questions they have about any of the exercises we complete so it becomes second nature for them. I am there to help build up their confidence in themselves each and every session.”
