AARP Tax Aide: Bull Run

FEBRUARY 1 – APRIL 15:
Mondays, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

AARP Foundation Tax Aide provides free tax assistance to anyone with a focus on taxpayers 50 years and older with low to moderate incomes. Preparers are trained and IRS-certified every year. Walk-in service only. Walk-ins will receive assistance on a first come, first served basis.

When appearing for a walk-in appointment, please bring the following tax documents:

  1. All income and expense information to be used in preparing your return.
  2. Your prior-year tax return.
  3. Taxpayer identification (see the Note below).

NOTE: If this is your first visit to Tax Aide, you must bring social security cards for yourself and all dependents. For those who we have prepared your return in the past, you must also bring the social security card for any new dependent added to the return.”

 

AARP Tax Aide: Chinn Park

Tax preparation services will begin on February 7, 2023, in the Community Room. You must schedule an appointment in advance. Walk-in service is not provided. There are two methods for scheduling an appointment. Appointments are generally scheduled for one hour.

  1. You can schedule an appointment online beginning January 9. This is the quickest and simplest way to make an appointment as no phone contact is required. Go to koalendar.com/e/aarp-tax-aide-program to schedule an appointment.
  2. Select a highlighted date and then choose the time requested.
  3. You will be asked to answer several questions to facilitate the appointment.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email.
  5. An appointment reminder will be sent approximately 48 hours in advance of your appointment.
  6. You can reschedule or cancel your appointment online.
  7. You can call our Tax Aide line at: 571-316-0493 beginning January 23. You will be asked to leave your name and a contact number. Your call will be returned at our earliest convenience.

Appointments are only being scheduled six weeks in advance.

The dates and hours of operation are scheduled as follows, but may change at a later date:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
      • February 7 – April 13
  • Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
      • February 25
      • March 11
      • March 25

An IRS intake/interview form 13614-C should be completed in advance of the appointment. This form has been competed in prior years. The form will be available in the library by mid-January. The form may also be obtained at irs.gov.

When appearing for the appointment, please bring the following tax documents:
