Have a Family Fun Day at Brentsville 
Join us Monday, August 12 from 10-11 am for Museum Family Day at Brentsville Courthouse. With a “farm day” theme you will visit the Historic Haislip-Hall House to try your hand at some 19th century farm activities. Churn butter, crank ice cream, play historic games and learn about what life was like on a farm before there was electricity. Adults must be able to participate with children. $5 per person (ages 4 and up). Get tickets here

Enjoy a Free Outdoor Concert
If you haven’t yet made it out to a Fridays at 5 concert, then now’s your chance. With only three concerts left, mark your calendar to join us Friday, August 16 at 5 pm, to enjoy the sounds of Perfekt Blend. Established in 2014 and based in Northern Virginia, Perfekt Blend is a talented group of musicians with a passion for performance. Their repertoire of music includes collections of popular songs and an extensive selection of covers and musical compositions perfect for any occasion. Come on out for a night of fun at Sean T. Connaughton Plaza! We’ll have food trucks, beer and wine for purchase and face painting for the kids. Learn more here.

Go on a Historic Walking Tour
Join local historians at Manassas National Battlefield Park for this free walking tour on Friday, August 16, 7-8 pm. Visit the Civil War-era village Groveton, the remnants of which are now located in Manassas National Battlefield Park. The tour will meet at 6706 Groveton Rd., Manassas, VA. Learn more here

Shop or Sell at Our Yard Sale
Clean out your closet and/or shop at our community yard sale. We provide you with a spot and a locally advertised event. Used household items only. Must reserve space in advance. Learn Some Civil War History
On August 24-25, from 11 am – 3 pm, join park staff and volunteers at Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park to commemorate the 162nd anniversary of the Battle of Kettle Run. This August 27, 1862 battle, while small, was bloody and took a heavy toll on the regiments that fought there. Visit the park for walking tours that will share the story of the first battle of the Civil War fought at Bristoe Station. Battlefield tours will be offered at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm.
