County Attorney BioMs. Robl was appointed by the Board of County Supervisors as the Prince William County Attorney on December 1, 2015. She has worked for the County in the County Attorney's Office, since 1993, and she served as Deputy County Attorney for six years before being named Acting County Attorney on June 13, 2015. She represents the Board and various County agencies before all levels of the Commonwealth and federal courts and administrative bodies, in various local government areas such as employment discrimination and personnel law, law enforcement and internal affairs issues, child abuse and neglect law, land use, contract matters, and general liability defense. The Office includes a total of eighteen lawyers, and eleven support staff of paralegals and administrative support. Ms. Robl is philosophically committed to the practice of preventive law on behalf of the County – proactively addressing legal issues at the inceptual state to avoid costly, time-consuming and unwanted litigation. Ms. Robl earned her Juris Doctor degree from the George Mason University School of Law, and her undergraduate degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, (Virginia Tech). Among other affiliations, she is currently on the Board of Directors of the Local Government Attorneys Association of Virginia, and was Past Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary, to the Virginia State Bar 5th District Section III Disciplinary Committee. |
