A new upgrade feature to Prince William County’s Development Services ePortal now gives customers the ability to access, update, and verify their uploaded building project documents.
This initiative, effective Monday, September 9, is in direct response to customer feedback and a significant step in our digital transformation strategy to enhance customer services. This initial roll out is for all building related permits and cases, with others to follow in the coming months.
Customers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new ePortal functionality by viewing the training video, here. To upload documents in the ePortal Attachment Section, select the “Select Type” in the dropdown menu first and then select the “Plus symbol” in the Add Attachment Field. Once uploaded the documents will appear on screen automatically, showing the category name along with the attachment.
“Development Services staff continuously dedicate significant time and resources to identify and develop innovative solutions to address customer concerns and improve the customer experience, which in turn, improves operational efficiencies, reduces administrative burdens, leading to quicker decision-making and increased productivity,” shared Mandi Spina, Director, Department of Development Services. “We are excited about this new customer service solution and look forward to delivering on the next innovative endeavor.”
