Prince William County’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Director of Information Technology, Rob Mancini, was recently recognized by Government Technology Magazine as one of its Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers for 2024. Each year, the magazine spotlights 25 state and local government technology leaders across the country who are reinventing government services to better serve their jurisdiction’s constituents.
The magazine’s profile on Mancini’s accomplishments and priorities highlighted Prince William County’s continued recognition by the Center for Digital Government for ranking in the top three of the Digital Counties Survey, including first place recognition in 2023. It also recognized the importance of culture and teamwork in driving the county’s massive infrastructure modernization program. That effort now serves as a critical building block for further innovating government experiences – specifically, simplifying and improving how Prince William County residents, businesses, visitors and the workforce interact with, request or receive services from the county.
Prince William County Executive Chris Shorter said he is proud of Mancini and the entire information technology team.
"Prince William County has a clear focus of enhanced customer experience and service for our residents, businesses, visitors and employees,” said Shorter. “I’m very proud of our IT team who is finding and delivering upon innovative initiatives and working to improve the experience for all those we serve.”
Mancini echoed those sentiments about his team.
“It's an honor to be included among peers whose transformative work in their own jurisdictions is a source of inspiration, but this is also recognition of our amazing IT team, their relentless passion for excellence and constituent-centric mindset,” Mancini said.
