The Prince William Chamber of Commerce’s Education and Workforce Committee and OmniRide have partnered to develop a transportation initiative geared toward students in the Chamber’s Workforce Development programs.
The Education and Workforce Committee builds partnerships intended to enhance the educational experience for students in the Prince William County region by providing a connection between the business community and educators. This is accomplished through work-based learning opportunities.
OmniRide is the operating name for the mobility services offered by the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC). OmniRide has been the Committee’s sponsor since 2019. The transportation initiative is intended to provide transportation resources for students between the ages of 16-24 enrolled in both the Prince William school system and Northern Virginia Community College’s (NOVA) Manassas and Woodbridge campuses.
“We are excited to work with The Prince William Chamber of Commerce’s Education & Workforce Committee to kick this program off,” said Joe Stainsby, OmniRide Chief Development Officer. “Mobility is important for all but it’s essential for youth in particular and we are thrilled to be part of this partnership that raises awareness of transit options to our youth.” For more information on OmniRide visit OmniRide.com.
