KABOOM! Design Day
Join Prince William County Parks & Recreation, AWS and KABOOM! on Wednesday, August 7 for a design day workshop where you and your child(ren) will help us design the new playground at Fairmont Park! Your support is essential to making this project a success. During this workshop, you will learn more about the project and how to get involved to turn the kids' dream playspaces into reality. Kids and adults are invited to share their visions for the new playground design at Fairmont Park. Additionally, community members can sign up to join the planning committee that will meet weekly leading up to Build Week (tentatively scheduled for the week of October 26). Light refreshments will be provided.

DESIGN DAY SCHEDULE
Kid Design Session - 1 Hour
The Project Manager from KABOOM! will lead a fun activity with kids who will design and draw their dream playground. Crayons and drawing pads will be provided.

Adult Planning and Design Session - 90 minutes
The Project Manager from KABOOM! will share a powerpoint presentation to community stakeholders, adults, parents and any other community members who want to learn more about the planning process and help design the new playground.
It's a Party!
We realize this event will be held during "dinner time", so please join us for light refreshments and fun activities.
Planning Committee
At the end of the Adult Planning and Design session, we will invite community members to sign up to be a part of the planning committee which includes 6 different groups; Fundraising, Volunteer Recruitment, Food, Public Relations, Fun and Logistics.
