Volunteers Needed for the Prince William Area Continuum of Care 2024 Point-in-Time Count (PIT)
The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is a literal count of persons experiencing homelessness that occurs in January each year and is a requirement for agencies receiving federal funding for programs serving homeless persons. The count is completed by conducting surveys with persons actively experiencing homelessness at locations known as “encampments” throughout Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
The 2024 PIT Count is in person and will begin on Wednesday, January 24 and end on Thursday, January 25. The count will be conducted in multiple “shifts” throughout the 24-hour period. In case of inclement weather, the backup dates are January 25–26, 2024.
Please see the PIT 2024 Volunteer Registration Flyer for more information and the Link & QR code to register. Volunteer registration is open until Dec. 5, 2023.
