The eight-acre pond is regularly stocked with trout by Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries urban fishing program from November to April and channel catfish in the spring. There are also native populations of blue gill, large mouth bass and crappie.
Fishing is from the bank and ADA accessible pier only, and is available during park operating hours.
Licensing:
- Under 16 years: no license required.
For ages 16+ a Freshwater Virginia State Fishing License is required year-round and a Virginia State Trout License is required during our winter season, November 1 - April 30.
