Flooding is the most common hazard in PWC; just 1 inch of water inside your home can cause $25,000 in damage! Flooding is not typically covered by homeowners or renters insurance, but Flood Insurance can cover your home and the things inside it. To learn more, talk with your insurance agent or visit FloodSmart.gov.
Prince William County is now rated Class 7 in the Community Rating System (CRS), which means that property owners who purchase flood insurance will receive up to15% off their flood insurance premiums! That is an average of $320 worth of saving per year! The CRS is a voluntary program that the County participates in to promote flood safety and reduce flood insurance costs to County residents.
