Prince William County Land Development Services are now available on ePortal, which provides a suite of online products and a seamless, fully automated process for land development project application submissions.
Customers can access land development projects online in ePortal through individual accounts and easily submit applications and custom templates, upload and track documents, access user guides, pay invoices, and schedule inspections, all in one single location.
“Our continuous goal is to make development services faster, convenient, and user-friendly,” shared Mandi Spina, acting director of the Department of Development Services.
ePortal is fully integrated with the County's Geographic Information System and supports development processes that govern permitting, plan review, inspections, case management, and more. Once a permit has been successfully applied for in ePortal, a permit number and home page screen are assigned. At the permit homepage screen, customers can access individual accounts on My Dashboard, which hosts My Permits, My Plans, My Inspections, and My Invoices tabs for easy reference.
Led by the Department of Development Services Land Development Division, the County multi-agency online initiative consisted of Development Services, Transportation, the Fire Marshal’s Office, County Attorney, Public Works, and Information Technology.
Full implementation of ePortal Land Development submissions was slated for Summer 2023, with a phased-in approach: Phase 1 Assessment and Study Plans; Phase 2 DCSM Waivers; Phase 3 Lot Grading and Deeds/Plats; and Phase 4 Site and Subdivision Plans.
“Providing 24/7/365 access on an integrated digital system takes care of everyone’s interests and time,” added Spina.
