Jacqueline Smith, Esq., Clerk of the Circuit Court, will host her 3rd Annual Law Day Art Contest Award Ceremony at the Judicial Center’s third floor atrium on May 3rd, 2023, at 5pm.
Law professionals around the country observe Law Day in May each year to foster better knowledge of the legal profession and the function of law in society.
The Clerk's Law Day Art Contest, which combines civics and art, offers local students a fun and interactive way to illustrate community decision-making and civil discourse.
Based on the theme “Cornerstones of Democracy: Civics, Civility, and Collaboration”, the Clerk’s Law Day Art Contest was open to students in private, public, and home-based schools located in Manassas, Manassas Park, and Prince William County.
Between April 24 - May 1, 2023, the public can vote on the artwork online at https://forms.office.com/g/MnEqrXsiTk or by visiting the 3rd floor of the Judicial Center.
The Clerk will announce contest winners and present awards to students at the Law Day Awards Ceremony on May 3. The student artwork will be exhibited at the Prince William County Art Society’s Open Space Arts Gallery in Woodbridge, Va during the summer.
