VIRGINIA CAREER WORKS PRINCE WILLIAM

The Prince William Financial Empowerment Center provides services to help individuals and families in Prince William County advance on a path toward financial stability. Services include financial coaching, small business coaching, financial workshops, and free tax preparation. 

All coaching, client appointments and education courses will be conducted virtually or in person by appointment only. Please complete our VCE INTEREST FORM to speak to a counselor.

FINANCIAL COACHING 

The Financial Coaching Program offers participants complimentary access to a personal financial coach for support in identifying and moving toward personal financial goals. This is an opportunity to focus on savings, decrease debt, improve your credit score, plan for purchasing a home or starting your own business.

SMALL BUSINESS COACHING

The Small Business Coaching program provides entrepreneurs and small business owners the opportunity to work one-on-one with a small business coach to support you in identifying your business goals.  We walk you through the steps to create an action plan that moves you toward your business vision. The Center works primarily with sole-proprietors, and LLC's. 

FREE TAX PREPARATION

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program provides free tax preparation services to individuals and families with low income in the Northern Virginia community. If you or your family earned less than $60,000 in 2023, you may qualify for this free service! For more information, click here.

HOUSING COUNSELING

The Housing Counseling program provides HUD-certified pre-purchase housing counseling, rental counseling, foreclosure intervention services, and other counseling services. Email [email protected] for an appointment.

FINANCIAL SEMINARS

Financial topic seminars include a four-part Financial Empowerment Series, Understanding & Improving Credit, Getting Ready for Taxes, Protecting Privacy and Avoiding Fraud, Smart Money Management, Financial Goal Setting and more.

Small business workshops provide individuals with the information necessary to start and manage a small business. We also partner with the SBA to provide free information sessions and the FDIC small business workshop series.
